It was an early start for the contest this morning. We had a rehearsal at the Rockware Pub in St Helens at 0930 and a big thank yoou to them for their support and friendliness.
From our number 2 draw we played Royal Mile Suite and played a very good performance with everyone coming off stage happy with their personal input and we enjoyed ourselves. The adjudicator agreed and we placed 3rd out of 7 and also picked up the Best Cornet prize which went to Chrissy Chalk-Williams, congratulations to her.
We now have a busy Christmas ahead of us and then on to a very big 2011 for the band, please check out the events page and come and support us when you can.
Fancy a walk up Scafell Pike? Neither do some of us, but we will be doing that and other events to raise money towards a new uniform in 2012 and France trip in 2014, we hope you can support us in these events or at our upcoming concerts and remember if you need a band or more information please contact us.
We have a few gaps in the ranks, if you are a Percussionist or brass player looking for a friendly, forward thinking band please feel free to get in touch.
Our involvement at the Winter Gardens this year meant we spent a lot of time waiting around, the result wasn't what we wanted but as always we had a great day in Blackpool.
We have a busy Christmas ahead, come and support us when you can, we hope to see you all on December 10th at the Annual Christmas Concert
